WATCH THAT DOGGY DOOR
Could you imagine coming home from work
to find this tiny creature napping on your
couch with your dog?
Guess who came home for dinner?
It followed this beagle home, right through
the doggy door. This happened in Maryland
recently. The owner came home to find the
visitor had made himself right at home..
This hit the 6 o’clock news big time

In these days of slow economic growth and lower consumer spending, it is more important than ever to consider showing your support for businesses in your community. By spending your money with local independent businesses in your community, more money that is spent, remains in your local economy. Rather than buy that pair of jeans or flowers on-line, or from the “big box” stores, help your local economy by keeping that money in your local economy.
Here is a great video from a news segment that News 14 Carolina did in Southport NC that illustrates the importance of helping to keep your favorite local businesses’ doors open:

We would like to thank everyone that used Rose Petals this year for Valentine’s Day. We thoroughly enjoyed helping everyone that choose our flower shop to express their feelings of love to their loved ones.
In the aftermath of this very busy Holiday, much has been posted on the internet concerning complaints about the on-line floral ordering companies, their lack of great service, the deception involved in their advertisements and the fact that many customers ordered one arrangement, but something else was received. Hmmm!
CLICK HERE to see how a $19.99 ended up costing consumers so much more.
And for a great YouTube video that compares on-lines orders to a real local florist, Compare Here
We have begun to notice that consumers are realizing that they receive:
- better value,
- better service,
-better product,
-NO deception,
- more feelings that they are helping their local economy,
When using a local florist, than they do when using on-line floral companies.
Let’s hope that this trend towards LOCAL anything continues. And, once again, thanks for your help.

Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14, 2010. Roses, Flower Arrangements
This year, Valentine’s Day falls on Sunday. Rose Petals, your Asheville Florist, will be there for you. We will be open for extended hours on Saturday February 13 and Sunday the 14th. Delivery available all days.
We know that many of our customers prefer to have flowers either delivered or available for in store pick-up during the work week so that your loved one receives their gift at work.
Traditionally, the workplace is the favored place for a woman to receive flowers. Just imagine the WOW!!! factor that you will be giving to your sweetheart. This will help to create a Valentine’s Week rather than just one day! Doesn’t She deserve this? Imagine the possibilities…
Outside the Box…
Tradition holds that for Valentine’s Day, She must be given a dozen red roses?! Dazzle her with something other than red roses this year. Roses come in many other colors. Add to her surprise when She sees something different and unique. We offer romantic arrangements using beautiful flowers that can either be added to roses or just by themselves. Start a new tradition.
Remember, if She’s Happy, you’re Happy!
